Owens Captures Region XII Division III Baseball Championship

SANDUSKY, Ohio – In a tournament that went the distance to the 'if necessary', winner-take-all game, Owens Community College emerged victorious with an 8-6 victory over OCCAC counterpart, Terra State Community College, to be crowned Region XII Division III Champions. The Express won the first matchup with the Titans in bracket play but later fell by an 8-6 final in the championship round to force the winner-take-all contest in the double-elimination tournament.

With the win, the Express have now captured Region XII Division III Championships in four of the past five seasons. Owens head coach John Parisho was named Region XII Division III Coach of the Year following the championship victory.

Owens advances to the Great Lakes District Championship, a best-of-three series, against Oakton Community College.
