Women's Cross Country
Macomb ranked third for third straight week
The Macomb Community College women's cross country team is ranked third in the NJCAA Division I women's cross country rankings for the third straight week.  The Monarchs won the Commodore Invitational, hosted by Lorain County Community College, last weekend.  They also had five of the top eight individual finishers.  Lansing Community College held onto the number six ranking this week. The Stars finished second at the Commodore Invitational last week and had three of the top ten individuals.  Jackson Community College dropped one spot last week to number 18 last week.  The Jets were idle last week.  Mott Community College is 22nd again this week after the Bears were idle this week.

Lansing ranked sixth for second straight week
The Lansing Community College is ranked sixth for the second straight week in the NJCAA Division I men's cross country poll. The Stars won the Commodore Invitational at Lorain County Community College last week and placed eight runners in the top ten. Vincennes University remained at number eleven again this week. Oakland Community College held onto the number 19 spot in the rankings again this week.

Muskegon's Hulburt named NJCAA volleyball player of the week
Muskegon Community College sophomore outside hitter Ashley Hulburt was named NJCAA Division II women's volleyball player of the week for the week ending September 25. Hulbert racked up two double-doubles in both of the Jayhawks wins last week. She had 20 kills and 10 digs against Ancilla College of Tuesday. She then had 23 kills and 11 digs in a five set win over number five Grand Rapids Community College.

Oakland hold number two ranking for second week
The Oakland Community College women's volleyball team held on to the number two ranking in the NJCAA Division II women's volleyball poll for the second straight week. The Raiders are 18-1 and 7-0 MCCAA Eastern Conference this season. Owens Community College dropped one spot this week to number five in the poll. The Express are 23-2 overall and 6-0 in the OCCAC. Muskegon Community College moved up seven spots this week to number 13 this week. The Jayhawks are 15-5 overall and 6-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Grand Rapids Community College nine spots to number 14 this week. The Raiders are 14-4 and 5-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Macomb Community College is in the others receiving votes category this week. The Monarchs are 12-10 overall and 3-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.

Schoolcraft moves up two spots to number two
The Schoolcraft College men's soccer team moved up two spots this week to number two in the NJCAA Division I men's soccer poll. The Ocelots are 10-0 in conference play and 7-0 in Region XII play. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is in the others receiving votes category this week. The Surge are 8-3 overall and 6-3 in Region XII play.

The Lansing Community College men's cross country team debuted at number six in this week's NJCAA Division I men's cross country poll. Vincennes University dropped five spots to number eleven in this week's poll. Oakland Community College moved up four spots this week's poll to number 18.

Macomb holds the number three spot for the second week
The Macomb Community College women's cross country team held on to the number three spot in the NJCAA Divsion I women's cross country poll for the second straight week. Lansing Community College moved up eight spots to number six this week. Jackson Community College debuts at number 19 this week. Mott Community College dropped three spots to number 22.

Oakland moves up one spot to number two in this week's poll
The Oakland Community College women's volleyball team moved up one spot this week to number two in this week's NJCAA Division II women's volleyball poll. The Raiders are 16-1 overall and 5-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Owens Community College moved up one spot to number four in this week's rankings. The Express are 19-1 overall and 5-0 in the OCCAC. Grand Rapids Community College drops three spots to number five this week. The Raiders are 12-3, 3-0 MCCAA Western Conference. Muskegon Community College held on to the number 20 spot for the third straight week. The Jayhawks are 13-5, 4-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Columbus State Community College is 12-8, 4-1 in the OCCAC.

Schoolcraft College jumps up one to number four
The Schoolcraft College men's soccer team moved up one spot to number four in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Poll. The Oceltos are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Region XII. They are also 1-0 in MCCAA play. Cincinnati State Techical & Community College dropped into the others receiving votes category this week. The Surge are 3-3 overall and in Region XII play.

Ancilla's Smith earns NJCAA player of the week honors
Freshman stiker JaCoby Smith of Ancilla College has been named the NJCAA Divisiion I men's soccer player of the week for the week ending on September 11th. Smith scored hat tricks in consecutive games over the weekend. On Saturday, he scored three goals and had one assist as Ancilla defeat host Lakeland Community College 6-0. On Sunday, Smith repeated the three goal, one assist feat against Cuyahoga Community College, as the Chargers won 8-0. We congratulate JaCoby on the honor.

Grand Rapids moves up one spot to number two this week
The Grand Rapids Community College women's volleyball team moved up one spot to number two in this week's NJCAA Division II women's volleyball poll. The Raiders are 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Oakland Community College moves up two spots to number three in this week's rankings. The Raiders are a 12-1 overall and 1-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Owens Community College moved up two spots this week to number five. The Express are 15-1 overall and 1-0 in the OCCAC. Muskegon Community College stayed at number 20 again this week. The Jayhawks are 9-4 overall and 2-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference.

Vincennes is up 11 spots this week to number six
The Vincennes University men's cross country team jumped eleven spots this week to number six in the NJCAA Division I men's cross country rankings. The Trailblazers are the only Region XII team in the men's cross country rankings.

Macomb drops two spots to number three this week
The Macomb Community College women's cross country team dropped two spots this week to number three in the NJCAA Division I women's cross country poll. The Monarchs finished third at the Tommy Titan Invitational and were the top NJCAA team at the meet. They place five runners in the top 30, including Kayla Pfund, who finished second. Lansing Community College broke into the top 25 this week at number 14. The Stars won the Jets Invitaitonal on Friday and placed six in the top 10 at the meet. Mott Community College dropped seven spots to number 19th in this week's poll. The Bears finished third at the Jets Invitational and placed two in the top 10 including the meet champion Mayce Varacalli.

Schoolcraft College ranked 4th in this week's NSCAA poll.
Schoolcraft College men's soccer team moved up one spot to number four spot in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.  The Ocelots are 7-0-0 on the season and 4-0-0 in Region 12. They are also 1-0 in the MCCAA.  Schoolcraft will play again on Saturday when the host Delta College.

Cincinnati State women's soccer ranked 18th in NSCAA poll
The Cincinnati State Technical & Community College women's soccer team is ranked 18th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The Surge are 2-2 overall and they are also 2-2 in Region 12 play. They will take the field again on Friday at Waubonsee (IL) Commnity College.

Macomb ranked number one in the first cross country poll
The Macomb Community College women's cross country team is ranked number one in the first regular season NJCAA Division I Women's Cross Country poll. The Monarchs placed seven runners in the top 30 at the Golden Grizzly Inviational last Friday.  Mott Community College is ranked 12th this week after placing two runners in the top 30 at the Golden Grizzly Invitational.  Oakland Community College is ranked 21st in this week's poll.  The Raiders place three in the top 40 at the Golden Grizzly Invitational.

Oakland ranked fifth in first regular season cross country poll
The Oakland Community College men's cross country team is ranked fifth in the first regular season NJCAA Division I Cross Country poll.  The Raiders placed four runners in the top 30 at the Golden Grizzly Meet at Oakland University last Friday.  Mott Community College is ranked ninth in the poll, after placing three runners in the top 30 at the Golden Grizzly Invitational.  Macomb Commmunity College is ranked 12th this week after placing two runners in the top 30 at the Golden Grizzly Invitational. Vincennes University is ranked 17th in this week's poll. Kirtland Community College is also ranked in this weeks poll.  The Firebirds are 20th after having their top runner finish 11th at the Golden Grizzly Invitational.

Grand Rapids ranked third in first regular season poll
The Grand Rapids Community College women's volleyball is ranked number three in the first National Junior College Athletic Assocition (NJCAA) poll after knocking off the pre-season number one Johnson (KS) County Community College over the weekend. The Raiders are 7-1 overall on the season with their only loss coming to number four Parkland (IL) College. The Oakland Community College volleyball team is ranked fifth in the poll. The Raiders are 11-1 on the season with their only loss coming to number three Grand Rapids Community College at the Owens CC tournament over the weekend.   Owens Community College is ranked seventh in the poll. The Express are 12-1 overall with their only loss coming to number five Oakland CC. Muskegon Community College is ranked 20th in the poll.  The Jayhawks 5-2 on the season.  Their losses are to Columbus State Community College, who is in the others recieving votes category and number seven Owens Community College.  Columbus State Community College is the only Region XII team in the others receiving votes category this week. The Cougars are 6-4 on the season. The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference season kicks off today, while the Michigan Community College Athletic Association season kicks of on Thursday.

The Cincinnati State Technical & Community College women's soccer team is ranked 14th in the first regular season National Soccer Coaches Association of America Poll. The Surge are 1-1 on the season with a win over Kellogg Community College and a loss to Schoolcraft College.
