Columbus State tops final NJCAA Division II Basketball Poll
The Columbus State Community College basketball team moved up one spot this week to be the top team in the final NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll. The Cougars, 24-2 overall and 11-1 the OCCAC, clinched the OCCAC conference championship. Mott Community College moved up on spot to number eight in this week's poll. The Bears are 25-4 overall and 16-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. If Mott wins tonight against St. Clair County Community College the will be Co-Champions of the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Oakland Community College moved to up one spot to number nine in this week's poll. The Raiders are 25-5 overall and 17-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Oakland clinched at least a share of the MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship. Lansing Community College is in the others receiving votes. The Stars, 20-6, 13-2 in the MCCAA Western, clinched the MCCAA Western Conference title on Saturday.

Schoolcraft College holds number two spot in final poll
The Schoolcraft College women's basketball team held on to the number two spot in the in the NJCAA Divsion II Women's Basketball Poll for the fourth week in a row. The Ocelots, 25-2 overall and 18-0 in the MCCAA Eastern, open the MCCAA Tournament tonight hosting St. Clair County Community College. Schoolcraft won the MCCAA Eastern Conference by four games. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College dropped five spots this week to number eight. The Surge are 21-4 overall and 10-1 in the OCCAC. Grand Rapids Community College moved up one spot in this week's poll to number nine. The Raiders are 20-5, 13-3 MCCAA Western and are Tri-Champions of the MCCAA Western Conference. Kalamazoo Valley Community College move up on spot to number tenth in this week's poll. The Cougars are 21-5, 13-3 MCCAA Western Conference and also Tri-Champions of the MCCAA Western Conference. The third member of the Western Conference Tri-Championship, Lake Michigan College, dropped two spots to 11th in the this week's rankings. The Indians are 20-5 overall and 13-3 in the MCCAA Western. Four Region XII teams are in the others receiving votes category in this week's poll. Ancilla College(14-13, 7-9 MCCAA Western), Edison Community College (23-1, 8-2 OCCAC), Muskegon Community College (16-11, 9-7 MCCAA Western Conference) and Oakland Community College (20-6, 14-4 MCCAA Eastern Conferenc) are those teams.

The Cougars are 21-2 overall and 8-1 in the OCCAC and they were the NJCAA Division II runners-up last season. Mott Community College held on to their number nine ranking this week. The Bears are 23-4 overall and 13-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They are the two time defending National Champions. Oakland Community College held on to their number ten ranking this week. The Raiders are 23-5 overall and 15-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Lansing Community College is the only Region XII team in the others receiving votes category this week. The Stars are 18-6 overall and 11-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference.

Lansing CC's Torian Harris earns NJCAA Player of the Week honors
Lansing Community College's Torian Harris earned NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the week honors. Harris, a 6' guard from Saginaw, Mich., is the Division II Player of the Week after a great performance on Feb. 11. Harris led Lansing to a 75-46 win over Glen Oaks Community College with 30 points and seven rebounds. He made 16 of 18 free throws in the contest.

Schoolcraft and Cincinnati State hold their spots in this week's poll
The Schoolcraft College women's basketball team held on to the number two sport in this week's NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll. This is the third week that the Ocelots have been number two in the poll. They are 23-2 overall and 16-0 in MCCAA Eastern Conference. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College held on to the number three spot for the second straight week. The Surge are 20-3 overall and 9-0 in the OCCAC. Lake Michigan College debuts in the poll at number eight in this week's poll. The Indians are 19-4 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Grand Rapids Community College also breaks into the poll this week at number ten. The Raiders are 18-5 overall and 11-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Kalamazoo Valley Community College held on to the number 11 spot in this week's poll. The Cougars are 19-5 overall and 11-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Two NJCAA Region XII teams are in the other receiving votes category. Edison Community College (20-3 overall, 7-2 OCCAC) and Muskegon Community College (16-9, 9-5 MCCAA Western Conference) are those two teams.

Kalamazoo Valley Community College dropped one spot to number 11 this week. The Cougars are 17-5 overall and 11-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference. Five Region XII teams are listed in the other receiving votes category. Grand Rapids Community College (18-5, 11-3 MCCAA Western), Lake Michigan College (18-4, 11-2 MCCAA Western), Lakeland Community College (16-8, 4-2 OCCAC), Muskegon Community College (15-9, 9-4 MCCAA Western), St. Clair County Community College (16-9, 10-5 MCCAA Eastern).

Columbus State CC climbs two spots in this week's poll
The Columbus State Community College men's basketball team moved up two spot to number four in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll. The Cougars are 16-2 overall and 3-1 in the OCCAC. Mott Community College dropped six spots this week after a 70-47 loss to Oakland Community College last Wednesday. The Bears are now 19-4 overall and 10-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Oakland Community College busted into the top 20 at number 12 this week after upsetting Mott Community College last week. The Raiders are 19-5 overall and 11-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Sinclair Community College is the only Region XII team in the others recieving votes category. The Tartan Pride are 15-4 overall and 4-1 in the OCCAC.
