Cuyahoga's Robinson named NJCAA Player of the Week
Cuyahoga Community College freshman guard Darrell Robinson has been named NJCAA Division II men's basketball Player of the Week. Robinson had two double-doubles last week as the Challengers went 2-0 on the week. He had 17 points, 11 rebounds and eight assist against Anne Arundell (MD) Community College. He then had 38 points, ten boards and six assists in a win over Monroe (NY) Community College. Region XII congratulates Darrell on the award.

Cincinnati State spends fifth straight week at number three
The Cincinnati State Technical & Community College women's basketball team are number three in the NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll for the fifth straight week. The Surge are 11-0 on the season. Kalamazoo Valley Community College is ranked fourth of the third straight week. The Cougars are 11-0 on the season as well. Owens Community College dropped on spot this week to number 12. The Express are 8-3 on the season. Muskegon Community College broke into the top 20 for the first time this season at number 18. The Jayhawks are 10-1 on the season. Lake Michigan College enters the others receiving votes category for the first time this season. The Indians have a 8-1 mark on the season. Jackson Community College spends another week in the others receiving votes category this week. The Jets are 7-2 on the season. This is the final poll of 2011, the next poll will be released on January 11, 2012.

The Mott Community College men's basketball team is ranked number one in the NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll for the fifth straight week. The Bears are 8-0 on the season. Columbus State Community College moves up three spots to number four this week. The Cougars are 10-0 on the season. Lakeland Community College dropped three spots to number seven this week. The Lakers are 11-1 on the season. Cincinnati State Technical & Community College is in the others receiving votes category again this week. The Surge are 7-1 on the season. The Vincennes University men's basketball team is ranked tenth in the NJCAA Division I men's basketball poll for the third consecutive week. The Trailblazers are 14-1 on the season. This is the last poll of 2011, the next rankings will be released on January 10, 2012.

The Cougars are 8-0 on the season. Oakland Community College is in the others receiving votes category again this week. The Raiders are 6-1 on the season. The Vincennes University men's basketball team held on to the number ten ranking in the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll for the second straight week. The Trailblazers are 13-1 on the season.

Wrestling
Muskegon CC ranked 10th in the first regular season poll
The Muskegon Community College wrestling team is ranked tenth in the first regular season poll. The Jayhawks have several wrestlers ranked in the individual rankings. Steven Ruppert is ranked eighth in the 141 pound weight class. Sean Turner is ranked sixth in the 149 pound weight class, while Eric Telford is ranked second in the 157 pound weight class. Jacob Brown is ranked seventh in the 174 pound weight class, while Matt Henry is ranked 12th in the 197 weight class. Cody Wolever is ranked eight in the 285 pound class.

Schoolcraft's Lobo named First Team All-American
Schoolcraft College sophomore midfielder Marco Lobo was named a NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-American on Friday. Lobo, who earned Second Team All-American Honors last season, scored 13 goals and added nine assist this season for 35 points. Lobo is the only Region XII soccer player, either men's or women's, to earn All-American honors this season.

Maxwell named Division II First Team All-American again
Oakland Community College sophomore setter Lauren Maxwell has been named a NJCAA Division II Women's Volleyball First Team All-American for the second straight year. Maxwell lead the Raiders to second place at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. Grand Rapids Community College freshman outside hitter Kelsey Darling was also named a First Team All-American. Darling lead the Raiders to a seventh place finish at the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Nationals. Brittany Eggert of Owens Community College has been named a Second Team All-American. The 6-0 middle blocker lead the Express to the championship match of the NJCAA District E Tournament. Elizabeth Comes of Owens Community College was named a Honorable Mention All-American. Comes help the Express finish second at the NJCAA District E Tournament.

Lorain County's Koller named All-American
Lorain County Community College outside hitter Kaylee Koller was named NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American. Koller lead the Commodores to a fourth place finish at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament last month.
