Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 1, 2017

The Cuyahoga Community College men's basketball team is ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll for the fifth straight week. The Challengers are 19-1 overall and 7-1 in the OCCAC. They defeated Lorain County Community College at Lakeland Community College last week. They will host Owens Community College tonight before traveling to Edison Community College on Saturday. 

 

Mott Community College moved up four spots to number seven in this week's poll. The Bears are 17-3 overall and 6-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. The defeated then number 16 Macomb Community College and Alpena Community College last week. They will travel to Wayne County Community College District tonight and then to 12th ranked Oakland Community College on Saturday. 

Oakland Community College dropped five spots to number 12 in this week's poll. The Raiders are 17-3 overall and 4-3 overall after beating Alpena Community College and Wayne County Community College District last week. They will travel to Henry Ford College tonight before hosting number seven Mott Community College. 

Lansing Community College moved up three spots to number 13 in this week. The Stars are 15-3 overall and 8-0 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They beat Kellogg Community College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College last week. Lansing will travel to Mid Michigan Community College tonight before traveling to Jackson College to start the second half of the conference schedule. 

Ancilla College dropped six spots this week to number 15 in the poll. The Chargers, who are 16-3 overall and 6-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference, after beating Glen Oaks Community College and Lake Michigan College last week. They will travel face Muskegon Community College tonight before hosting Kellogg Community College on Saturday. 

Macomb Community College moved up one spot to number 18 in this week's poll. The Monarchs are 16-3 overall and 6-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after losing to number eight Mott Community College and beating Schoolcraft College on Saturday. They will host Delta College tonight before playing at St. Clair County Community College on Saturday. 

Sinclair Community College dropped four spots to number 15 in this week's rankings. The Tartan Pride are 17-4 overall and 5-3 in the OCCAC after beating Hocking College and Edison Community College last week. They are at Columbus State Community College tonight and Lakeland Community College on Saturday, 

Cincinnati State Technical & Community College enters the top 20 this week at number 20. The Surge are 16-5 overall and 8-0 in the OCCAC after beating Edison Community College and Owens Community College last week. They have won ten games in a row. They will host Clark State Community College tonight and travel to Columbus State Community College on Saturday. 

Muskegon Community College enters the other schools receiving votes category this week. The Jayhawks are 13-4 overall and 7-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference after beating Lake Michigan College and Jackson College last week. They will host number 15 Ancilla College tonight before playing at Grand Rapids Community College on Friday night.
